Mrs. Vondie Slade Lizana, age 79, resident of Pass Christian, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2010, at home with her family by her side.
Mrs. Lizana was born in Savannah, MS to John and Nida Wheat Slade. Before retiring, she worked at Stuffed Shirt and was of the Baptist faith. She loved spending time in her garden growing flowers and vegetables and playing Bunco in her three groups, but her greatest love was her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Jerred Necaise; and her sister, Charlotte Partridge.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Albert Stephen Lizana of Pass Christian; her children, Sharon Smith of Mobile, AL, and Sheila Necaise (Bobby) of Pass Christian; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Manning and J. Shepler, Jamie Necaise (Michelle); and 5 great grandchildren, Morgan, Macy, Alleah, Kodie, and Stephen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, from 11am-2pm.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will follow at Old Delisle Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, Building Fund, 22342 Evangeline Road, Pass Christian, MS 39572.
