Our sweet mother, Voncile Ford passed away after a valiant fight against cancer on December 19, 2020 at the age of 80. She was born on August 31, 1940 at Mt. Gilead, MS.
Her life was a living example of the bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 – “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ"
"Remembering our beloved mother,
A golden heart stopped beating,
hardworking hands at rest,
It broke our hearts to see you go,
God only takes the best.
They say that memories are golden,
Well maybe that is true,
But we never wanted memories,
We only wanted you.
We sat beside your bedside,
Our hearts were crushed and sore,
We did our duty to the end,
‘Til we could do no more.
In tears we watched you sinking,
We watched you fade away,
And though our hearts were breaking,
We know you could not stay.
Our lips cannot speak how we love you,
Our hearts cannot tell what to say,
But only God knows how we miss you,
In our home that is lonely today."
