Vonciel Shiyou Necaise, age 83, resident of Kiln, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2009, in Kiln.
Mrs. Necaise was born in the Standard Community to the late Gastnell and Flora Ladner Shiyou. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in White Cypress and was a homemaker. She was an avid quilter and was a great cook.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Necaise; and her daughter, Glenda Lee.
She is survived by her children Donald Ray Necaise and his wife Linda of Kiln, Donna Searles of Long Beach, and Susan Arceneaux and her husband Dennis of Pass Christian; brother, Grifton Shiyou of Kiln; sisters, Flora Necaise of Bay St. Louis and Olga Mae Slade of Lumberton; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 19, 2009, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, White Cypress, at 11:00 a.m., where friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Necaise Crossing Cemetery.
