Vivian "Billie" Foote

Vivian “Billie” Foote, age 82, of Gulfport, passed away on January 18, 2023.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin McGinty; a daughter, Karen Lewis; her father, William Foote; and her mother, Leslie K. Braun.

Survivors include her children, Christi (Pat), Kelli Summers (Robert), and Robert McGinty (Tina); her siblings, Bae Meyer, Margaret Ann Rowland and Hunter Foote )Jani); her grandchildren, Kyle Villamor (Jessica), Rebecca Dotson (Tim), Robert Summers (Savannah), Terri Craft (Lane), Travis McGinty (Liza), Michael McGinty, Bobby Lewis (Kimberly), Bradley Lewis, and Deanna Tuttle (Melvin); her great-grandchildren, Wyatt J. Villamor, Eli M. Villamor, Brooklyn M. Dotson, Nathan Dotson, Tierra Summers, Zoe Craft, and Logan Craft; and numerous friends and coworkers.

Billie was a native of Biloxi and was a longtime resident of Gulfport.  She retired in 2020 as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Clinical Support Services at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.  She previously worked for NCNB Texas National Bank where she was an LPO Assistant and assistant to the CFO, an account assistant at Houston Multinational Dept, Phillips and White CPA’s, and Greenville High School in Greenville, MS.

Billie enjoyed card games (Phase 10), Yahtzee, dominoes, arts and crafts, baking, building family trees through Ancestry, and entertaining family.

From her family: “You were the star that guided so many friends and family.  Your presence was noticed and remembered.  Now you can be at peace with all those gone before you.  Thank you for every single moment.  We were all so lucky!”

A visitiation will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm, on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Mississippi City United Methodist Church in Gulfport.
