Vivian Everitta Alexander Hunter, 95 and a resident of Gulfport, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Hunter graduated from Gulfport High School in 1940 and throughout her life had worked at the Telephone Company and at JC Penney in downtown Gulfport. She was a devout Christian and a devoted mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose Emma Blackwell Alexander and Sidney E. Alexander; her husband, William L. Hunter, Jr.; and son Darryl S. Hunter, Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Dale Hunter Wallen; grandchildren, Jeff (Erin) Wallen, Tammy (Bear) Olson and Darryl (Jennifer) Hunter, Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren, Aiden Wallen, Emma Wallen, Cole Hunter, Grant Hunter, Abby Olson, Casey Olson and Abel Olson.
The Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Blackwell Cemetery on Blackwell Farm Road in Saucier.
