Virginia McNutt Taylor, 87, resident of Gulfport, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 in Gulfport.
She was born in Nauvoo, AL on March 1, 1923. She was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Gulfport; and she a member of the United Methodist Women.
She enjoyed quilting with the United Methodist Women, and she continued quilting until the day she died. She was an avid reader.
She loved her family, and her family was her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ula Harmon Taylor; her daughter, Eula Faye Taylor Martin; her parents, Eugene and Julia McNutt; her brothers, Opie Lee McNutt and Jimmy Dee McNutt; and her sisters, Vaudean Lindley and Lawley Kimball.
She is survived by, her daughter, Marilyn Taylor Jones and husband J.B. of Saucier; her son, David Eugene Taylor and wife Carol of Bradenton, FL; her sister, Ora Lewis of Gulfport; her sister-in-law, Rochelle McNutt of Gulfport; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 10 am at Trinity United Methodist Church, Gulfport. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the funeral service in the church sanctuary.
Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
