Virginia Murphy

May 22, 1928 — May 20, 2017

Virginia Graham Murphy was born May 22, 1928 and passed from this earth to eternal life on May 20, 2017.
Virginia was a lifelong resident of Robinson Road in Orange Grove and a member of Bel Aire Baptist Church. Virginia spent the last few years with her children in Texas. While in Texas, she attended First Baptist Church of Highlands.
She was employed as the Director of Employee and Labor Relations for the United States Postal Service and retired with over 35 years of service.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Roland Murphy and first husband Curtis Perkins; her mother Clara Herrin Farmer and husband D.D. Farmer, Sr.; father, Johnnie Graham; her stepbrothers, D.D. Farmer, Jr., Holly Farmer, and James (Bill) Farmer.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Perkins and wife Judy of Lake Limestone, TX, and Mike Murphy and wife Marie of Houston, TX; her daughter, MaryAnn Murphy and husband David Settle of Highlands, TX; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; step-brothers, Will Earl Farmer, Alton Farmer, Malcom Farmer, and Dale Farmer of Gulfport and Gale Farmer of Slidell, Louisiana; and numerous cousins and friends.
Virginia was a very kind, loving, and giving person and it is at her request in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Bel Aire Baptist Church, 15080 Dedeaux Road, Gulfport, MS Phone 228-832-1966 in her name.
Visitation will be onThursday, June 1, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi from 8:30am - 9:30am, with a graveside service at Biloxi National Cemetery at 10:00am.
