Virginia Martin

Virginia Josey Martin, age 77, of Gautier, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest C. Josey and Mabel Taylor Josey DeAngelo.

Survivors include her two children, John Martin (Nylia) and Justin Martin (Lori); five siblings, Melinda Hayes Henry (John), Conrad Josey, Priscilla Knight, Francis Berry, Gail Pine (Phillip); and four grandchildren, Justin, Ty, Xander and Jared.

Virginia was born in Lucedale, attended George County High School and Army Staff College, where she attained a Master’s Degree. She worked as a Civil Service employee with 31 years of service in the US Department of Defense and Department of Labor. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Gautier, Friendship Club and Bridge Partners. In her free time she enjoyed painting and photography.
