Virginia D. Gill, age 79, formerly of Biloxi and Diamondhead, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 in Nashville, TN.
Mrs. Gill had been a resident of Nashville, TN since 2005 where she was an active member of The Vultee Church of Christ. She did volunteer work for Churches of Christ Disaster Relief in Nashville.
She was preceded in death by husband, Willis R. Gill; parents, George O. Perry, Sr. and Ethel; brothers, Roy Perry and Ernest Perry; and sisters, Betty Frum and Eloise Estepp.
She is survived by her 4 children, Deborah Lynn Gill of Smyrna, TN, Perry A. Gill (Belinda) of Waveland, MS, Michael L. Gill (Lori) of Asheville, NC and Carol S. Skipper of Natchez, MS; 8 grandchildren, Tyler Gill (Marie) of Waveland, MS, Andy Gill of Waveland, MS, Matthew Martin (Danielle) of Natchez, MS, Jenny Yakey (Michael) of Vidalia, LA, Dustin R. Liberto of Natchez, MS, Alissa Pointer (Robert) of Raleigh, NC, Kristi Booker (Jeremy) of Boone, NC and Joseph Gill of Asheville, NC; 7 great-grandchildren, Mariah Gill, Michael Gill, Matthew Gill, Natalie Yakey, Madalyn Yakey, Braxton Martin and Dane Martin; sister, Carol S. Coverdale (David) of Mt. Sterling, OH; and 2 brothers, Dennis W. Perry (Carolyn) of Thompson, GA and George O. Perry, Jr. (Sue) of Catlettsburg, KY.
Visitation will be at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM, and Friday, May 6 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM with the funeral service at 10:15 AM. She will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
A memorial service in Nashville, TN will be announced at a later date. The family requests donations to disaster relief in lieu of flowers.
