Virgie L. Decker, age 89 and a resident of Gulfport, passed away on April 1, 2014, in Gulfport.
Virgie was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Roxie Wade Ratcliff; her husband, Donald Richard Decker; her daughter, Shirley Jean Holyfield Hoda and her granddaughter, Roxanna Hoda.
She is survived by her son, Billy Wayne Holyfield of Louisiana; her half sister, Ann Bumpers of Alabama; her great grandson, Cody Woods and great granddaughter, Caylee Hoda, both of Gulfport.
She worked as a seamstress at Maybelle's Garment Factory. She grew up in Laurel and was a longtime resident of Gulfport. She was very caring and committed to her family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 2pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit thirty minutes prior to the service.
Burial will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery at a later date.
