Violet Sarah Jane Saul Nobles

Violet Sarah Jane (Saul) Nobles, of Gulfport, died September 11, 2012 at the age of 89. She was born on January 24, 1922 in Laurel, Mississippi.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Lena (Rogers) Saul; her husband, Elmer Nobles; brothers, OC Saul, and James Saul; her sister, Ruby Lee (Saul) Shaw; daughter, Elaine (Nobles) Jackson; sons, Ray Nobles, Billy Nobles, Mike Nobles, Pat Nobles, and Steve Nobles; and her granddaughter; Michelle (Cochran) Watkins.
Survivors include her sisters, Betty Jo (Doug) Lowe, Lottie Mae (Jim) Reface, and Jean Saul; brothers, George (Dianne) Saul, Miller (Bennie) Saul, and Cooley (Claudia) Saul; daughters, Cindy (Terry) Smith, Pam (Lee) Cochran; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren with two on the way.
Our dear, sweet mother, grandmother, sister and aunt had patience and goodness to spare. Her family and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life.
She was a ""from scratch"" cook, and when she baked there was always love in it. She was a great gardener of vegetable and flowers. Besides her family and grandchildren she was the happiest puttering around in her yard.
Heaven has received one of the brightest angels, who will forever be loved and missed!
The family would like to give a special thanks to the fine doctors and nurses on the fifth floor at Memorial Hospital and Hospice Unit. And a special thanks to her grandchildren Gwen Bourdin and Jason Nobles.
There will be a visitation from 10-11am at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport on Monday September 17, 2012, with a service beginning at 11am. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. There will be a memorial gathering at Violet's old homestead in Lyman after burial.
