Mrs. Violet Bernice Fosselman, age 78, resident of Diamondhead, MS, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011.
Mrs. Fosselman was born in the township of Red Eye, MN to John and Ina Ranta Waisanen. She was married in 1954 to Dennis J. Fosselman who died in August of 2008. They were longtime residents of Des Moines, IA, where she retired as a Special Education teacher. Her education included an undergraduate and Master's Degree from Drake University in Special Education. After retirement they moved to Lake Wells, FL, where they enjoyed life among other retirees. In 2005, they moved to Diamondhead, MS, to be closer to their son. Mrs. Fosselman was a member of St. William's Catholic Church where she had many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis J. Fosselman; her parents; and a brother and a sister.
She is survived by her children, Mark D. Fosselman of Diamondhead, and Rhonda Radford of Cincinatti, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at St. William's Catholic Church, Edwin Ladner Rd., Pass Christian, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
