Vincent Ferian "Vince" Marquez, Jr., age 78, of Pass Christian, passed away on March 20, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Eglantine Marquez; a sister, Katherine Marquez Allen; his grandparents, William E. Marquez, Sr. and Katherine Green; and Raymond Lizana and Marie Dubourg.
He is survived by his children, Maggie (Eric) Wooten, Tracy (Tiana) Marquez, Bill (Emily) Marquez; Lisa (Joey) Gilbert, and Quentin (Dora Grote) Marquez; a brother, Marion (Diane) Marquez; 7 grandchildren, Kristen (Jeremy) Owens, Mallory Marquez, Shannon Wooten, Taylor Derr, Phoebe Marquez, Austin Wooten, Claire Marquez; 5 great-grandchildren, Nolan Owens, Breeana Owens, Gabriel Barry, Silas Derr, and Kellan Owens; and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Marquez was a graduate of St. Stanislaus College in 1958 and later graduated from LSU in 1964 with a degree in Engineering. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked for PGAC, Dresser-Atlas, Aquilla Energy, Exxon, and Stern Oil during his career. He enjoyed fishing and LSU football.
A graveside servoce will be at 10 am Saturday, March 30, 2019, at St. Paul Cemetery.
