Vincent Anthony Catchot, age 90, of Gulfport, MS, peacefully entered the into the gates of heaven on August 11th, 2021. Dad was born on April 1, 1931, in Ocean Springs, MS.
He served in the US Navy as a corpsman attached to the USMC. He graduated from MS State with a degree in horticulture. He retired from the USDA forestry service. He was a member of St. James Catholic church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Alma Catchot; beautiful wife, Lela; brothers, Gene and Emmet; and sister, Margaret.
He leaves behind his son, Eric; sister, Rachel; and many nieces and nephews.
Vincent was a loving and caring person. He enjoyed traveling throughout the
US and Canada in his camper. A faithful and true friend to many. He will be
missed but never forgotten.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 10:30am, with visitation beginning at 9:30am, both at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
