Victoria Angeline Nemec, age 90, resident of Long Beach, MS, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, in Ocean Springs.
""""Grandma Vicki,"""" as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was born March 10, 1918 in Chicago, IL, the second youngest of six children, to the late Christ and Nikolina Marich. She retired from Western Felt in Chicago in 1983, where she was an inspector. She lived on the Coast for the last five years, and was of the Catholic faith.
Victoria was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, James Nemec, and a son, Raymond Douglas.
She is survived by her son, Donald Scheid, Sr. of Long Beach; daughter, Patricia Lamphier of Orland Park, IL; 12 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Scheid, Sr., Donald Scheid, Jr., Lawrence Dambrino, Michael Scheid, Jr., Tommy Elliott, Louis Fahnstock, and Charles Lamphier, Jr. (honorary).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach, where friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 3 p.m.
Mrs. Nemec will be interred at Long Beach City Cemetery.
