She was born in Gulfport, Mississippi to Harvey Leon Mooney and Rose Marie Ladner McKay.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rhonda Mooney; half-brother, Ronald McKay; and nephew, Johnathan Riley.
She is survived by her son, Bradley Mooney of Gulfport; one grandchild, Bailey Mooney; siblings, George Mooney, Robert Mooney, Lee Mooney, Sybil Benefield, William McKay, Jeffery Mooney and Shannon Perez; step-father, Ellis E. McKay of Gulfport; step-mother, Dorothy McManus Mooney of Laurel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
