Vesta aÌ‚â‚Å“DustyaÌ‚â‚ Teter, 67, of Shelby, N.C., died Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Shelby. Vesta was born December 9, 1942 in Marianna, Florida.
Vesta made her career in law enforcement working for the FBI, Florida Highway Patrol and Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
On October 6, 1990 Vesta married Michael Teter, Sr. of Gulfport, Mississippi. Together they established Vietnam Veteran Memorials that can be found throughout the state of Mississippi.
She is survived by her daughter, Dina Studstill Chase; mother, Nora Larsen; sisters, Ion Williamson, Glenda Harrod and Audrey Engstrom; and brother Glenn Larsen, Jr.
Vesta was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Teter, Sr., father, Glenn Larsen, and sister, Teresa Hirt.
The visitation will be Thursday morning, December 31, 2009, from 10:30AM-11:30AM followed by the funeral service at 11:30AM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi.
Burial will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made in VestaaÌ‚â‚â„¢s name to your favorite charity.
