Versie Lumpkin, age 68, of Gulfport, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Lumpkin enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Lumpkin was preceded in death by her parents Houston and Mae Smith; and her sister, Eula Mae Pace. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Kenneth """"Kenny"""" Lumpkin; two daughters, Debra King and her husband Scotty and Lynn Ammons and her husband Rusty, both of Gulfport; her sister, Vergie Slade and her husband Billy of Hamilton, MS; three grandchildren, Lee and Nicole Farner, Christy and Luke Thompson, and Kirby Ammons; and two great-grandchildren, Trey and Lindsey Farner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2008, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49N, Gulfport. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Bounds Cemetery in Carnes, MS.
