Veronica Lee Westbrook, age 61 of Gulfport, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Frank Morris; two brothers, Mike and David Morris; and a sister, Pam Fletcher Miller.

Mrs. Westbrook is survived by her son, Travis (Jordan) Morris; former spouse and friend, Lewis Dale Westbrook; a sister, Diana (Greg) Sotak; four grandchildren, Colton Rex, Alexandra, Arabella, and Adriana; nieces and nephews, Heather Fletcher, Trevor Miller, Ashley Morris, Kevin Morris, Tyler Morris, and Jaime Morris; and other relatives and friends.

She was a native of Callahan, FL and was a 1980 graduate of West Nassau High School in Callahan.  She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL before moving to Gulfport due to her mother’s health.  She later worked for the Cardiology Institute for many years and currently worked for Ochner Hospital.

She enjoyed anything Marines and spending time with her grandbabies.  She was of the Catholic faith.  There’s a special song that she would sing to her friends on Zoom: “Don’t Worry – Every Little Thing is Gonna Be Alright!”

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, Long Beach.
