Verna Trapman

Verna Jean “Jeanie” Trapman, age 84, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020 in Gautier. She was born November 11, 1935 and raised in Fairview, MI.

Jeanie enjoyed boating, fishing, golf, gardening, and traveling. She loved spending time with the family and friends. She was a custom flower arranger for Gerland and Arlan’s Markets. Jeanie was a big sports fan of the Houston Oilers, Houston Texans, Rockets, and Astros. Jeanie loved life and was always ready to help anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Miller; brother, Lloyd Miller.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, August Ray Trapman; sons,  Erick Dopp of Houston, TX  and  Aaron Dopp of Pearland, TX:  daughters, Janine Galeaz of Friendswood, TX  and Katrina Evenhouse (Randy) of Dickinson, TX;  brother, Larry Miller of MI; and 12 grandchildren; as well as several great-grandchildren that she adored; and a host of relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd, in West Jackson County. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic mandate the service and visitation will be limited to 50 people.
