Verlene Lynn Bankston

Verlene Lynn Bullock Bankston, 81, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 in Gulfport. She worked at Bellsouth for thirty years, retiring as a manager. She enjoyed playing bridge, working crossword puzzles and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents Seaman Bullock and Ettie Lott Bullock; three sisters and five brothers; son, Ricky Bankston.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ronald Bankston, Sr. of Diamondhead, MS; 2 sons, Ronald Bankston, Jr. (Jackie) of Summit, MS, Edward Bankston (Terri) of Summit, MS; sister, Lorene Bullock Beard of Tylertown, MS; 5 grandchildren, Dustin Bankston, Amanda Bankston, Rebecca Bankston, Brian Bankston and Lauren Canty; 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a late date along with a burial in Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS.
