Verla F. Degges, age 88 of Gulfport passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009 in Bastrop, LA.
Mrs. Degges was a life-long resident of Gulfport. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Gulfport. She retired from the Biloxi VA Hospital.
She was preceded in death by husband, Fulton H. Degges; parents, Mr. & Mrs. D.D. Willison; and a sister, Arlene Willison.
Survivors include Arla F. Orrels and husband, Jacob; two grandchildren, Laura F. Hawthorne and husband, Jes, and Justin F. Orrels and wife, Tara; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Jessica Hawthorne; and brother, Lorraine Willison and wife, Bernice; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Pine Ridge Gardens, 28th Street, Gulfport.
