Verina Mary Moran Deschamp, age 93, of the Fenton Community, while surrounded by her loving family, slipped peacefully from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on May 10, 2006.
She was born on June 7, 1912 in Rocky Hill and was married to Purvis Deschamp on December 2, 1931. Mrs. Deschamp was a devoted mother of twelve children in whom she instilled a deep religious background. She was also a grandmother of forty-one grandchildren, seventy-three great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was an avid gardner and card player. Painting ceramics, playing bingo, quilting and playing bonco were some of her favorite hobbies. She especially loved being surrounded by her family and sharing her beautiful smile. She was a parishioner of Annunciation and St. Matthew's Catholic Churches.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Purvis Deschamp; her parents, Charles and Christine Moran; four siblings, Virgin Mary Cuevas, Theresa Ladner, Napoleon Moran and Olige Moran; two granddaughters, Stephanie Hoda Shaw and Tearziah Mary Deschamp; one grandson, Staton Lee Warren and three son in laws, James Hoda, James N. Jones and Howard Lizana.
Survivors include three sons, Curtis (Rebecca) Deschamp, Lonne (Cheryl) Deschamp and Wade (Diane) Deschamp all of Kiln; nine daughters, Vivian (Luther) Stevens of Long Beach, Earline Hoda of the Kiln, Lillian (Billy) Pierocich of Long Beach, Elaine Lizana of Kiln, Lynell (Philip) Hoda of Kiln, Patsy (Bobby) Saucier of Poplarville, Judy (Larry) Saucier of Poplarville, Marian (Gary) Hoda of Kiln and Belinda (Richard) Liles of Kiln.

Visitation was held Thurday, May 11, 2006 from 5:30-til at Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Kiln Delisle Road Chapel. Sevices will be today, Friday, May 12, 2006 at 1:30 at St. Matthews Catholic Church in White Cypress. Fr. Noel Fannon will officiate. Interment will be at Sand Hill Cemetery in Fenton.
