Vera Jemison, a long time resident of Biloxi, MS, died on Monday, November 17, 2008. Vera was born in Biloxi, Ms on July 14, 1928. She was employed at Keesler Air Force Base as a supervisor in Billetin Department Servics for 30 years. She met her husband, Alfred (Jim), and they were married for 54 years, until his departure.
Mrs. Vera was a devoted Wife and mother. Mrs Vera Jemison was crowned the Millennium QUEEN 2000. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude Laurie and Joe Spanner, her daughter Ann Clark and three brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Vera Jemison is survived by her three sons: Curtis Jemison and wife Deborah, Andre Jemison and wife Sylvia, all of Birmingham, AL, and Joseph """"Squibby"""" Jemison of Houston; two daughters: Jackie Jackson, of Biloxi, and Margaret Ramsey of Miami, FL; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME,
