Mrs. Vera Allen Ford, age 80, lifelong resident of Long Beach, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2010, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Ford was born in 1929 to the late June N. Allen and Maybelle Beech Allen. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer T. Ford; two infant children; brothers, Roy B. Allen, Guy C. Allen, M. Ray Allen, and Douglas J. Allen.
She is survived by her two sons, Terry Young of Long Beach and Ricky L. Ford of Long Beach; sister, Elaine Allen Wofford of Swinney Switch, TX.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, where friends may visit from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010, at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
