Vera Cameron, of Summerville, South Carolina, died February 28, 2012 in Summerville after an illness. She was 92.
Vera was born May 1, 1919 in Kilbourn, Wis. to Walter and Lora Barton. She lived in Gulfport, Miss. for 67 years and moved to Summerville, South Carolina in 1997 where she resided with her son, Morgan. She is survived by four sons, Louis Felton, John Carruth, Leland Carruth, and Morgan Cameron; and one daughter, Nancy Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Cameron; parents; three sisters, Margrette May, Ella Mallett, and Leona Taylor; and one brother, LeRoy Barton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 10:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport, Miss. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Breast Cancer Foundation.
