Velma Alice Rouse

Velma Alice Bond Rouse, age 97, resident of Saucier, passed away on Saturday March 3, 2012, In Saucier.
She was born in McHenry, MS, graduated from high school and attended Perkinston Junior College. She was a member of Perkinston Chapter #376 OES for over 65 years and Perkinston Past Matrons Club. She was a dedicated member of Saucier United Methodist Church for over 75 Years and retired after 40 years with the Harrison County School system.
Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Payne Rouse, Sr.; her parents, Enoch and Margaret Bond; son, James Everett Rouse; and her grandson, Jeffrey Hickman.
She is survived by her four children, Kermit Jr. (Jean), Newitt ""Tony"", Wanda Elaine Breeding, Alice Hickman; her grandchildren, Cindy (Jimmy) Hahn, Billy (Katrina) Rouse, Terri (Collin) Nellett, Newitt Rouse, Marty Hickman, Ted (Memory) Rouse, Deanna (Keith) Cavalier, Christina Brown; 18 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Saucier United Methodist Church, from 12 o'clock Noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens.
