Velina M. Niolet, age 86, a lifelong resident of Pass Christian passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Niolet was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Dubuission Parish. She was an avid Bunko and Bingo player. She retired from Pass Christian Industries after 25 years. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Niolet is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Niolet; her parents, Fred and Celina Ladner; and her brothers, Edward and Houston Ladner.
Survivors include her son, Wilson Niolet and his wife Henrietta of Pass Christian; and her daughter Verlane Ray and her husband Dennis of Pass Christian; siblings, Buster Ladner, Everett Ladner both of Pass Christian, Wilborn Ladner of Gulfport, Elvera Necaise and Reneldar Ladner both of Pass Christian; grandchildren Elizabeth Osborne of Knoxville, TN, Bubba Niolet, Bridgette Brown, William Ray and Kevin Ray, all of Pass Christian; 7 great grandchildren, 3 adopted grandchildren, Jessie, Angel and David Necaise; 4 step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Rd. Pass Christian, where friends may call after 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Ann Catholic Church at Dubuisson where friends may call after 9:00 a.m
Interment will follow at St Joseph's Cemetery at Rotten Bayou Cemetery.
