Vandey Yates, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Saucier.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Yates; parents, John and Hattie Yates; brother, Ruben Yates; sister, Eunice Dearing; grandson; Matthew Jones; great-granddaughter, Marissa Downey.
He is survived by his three children, Larry Yates (Michelle) of Virginia, Janice Jones (Jesse) of Saucier and Joanne Sharp (Ken) of Illinois; three step-children, Margaret Ann Schuster (Paul) of Colorado, Gene Allue (Pat) of Virginia and Ruth Scialabba (Jim) of Pennsylvania; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A visitation will begin at 10:00AM until service time at the funeral home.
