Vance W. Taylor, age 86, of Gulfport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2011.
Mr. Taylor attended Saucier Holiness Church, Christian Worship Center, and First Assembly of God and he was retired from the City of Gulfport water department as a supervisor. He enjoyed watching football, especiallythe New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Braves baseball.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 31 years, Mildred Louise Hodge Taylor, and 2 sons, Johnny W. Taylor and Rev. Donny C. Taylor.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Helen M. Quave Taylor, a daughter, Maggie Taylor Hensley, a son, George E. Taylor, a sister, Gracie Carr, step-daughter, Rhonda Breaux, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011, from 12 noon - 2 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road. The funeral service will begin at 2 pm. Interment will be in Evergreen Gardens Cemetery.
