Vallery Vashti Britt Clugh of Mobile, AL went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 91 years. She left this world peacefully on February 9, 2010.
Mrs. Clugh was a very talented lady who served as the church pianist over 50 years. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She also loved to plant flowers and work in the yard. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church of Newport News, VA and served as their pianist and organist for many years.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 13, 2010, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM with the funeral to follow at 1:00 PM at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Theodore, AL. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport, MS. Brother Randy Tewell and Brother Robert Flowers will officiate.
Mrs. Clugh is survived by one son Mack Loyd Bryant, Jr. of Miami, FL, two daughters, Billie Jean Sprinkle of Newport News, VA and Virginia Ann Myers of Theodore, AL, one brother Kinchen Britt of Jacksonville, FL, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Lighthouse Baptist Church, Building Fund , 6905 Nan Gray Davis Rd., Theodore, AL 36582.
The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport, MS, is in charge of arrangements.
