Valina F. Ladner, age 92, of Gulfport went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delarie and Cevelia Ladner; two sisters, Clara McLeod and Nita Achee; two brothers, Norman Ladner and Merlin Ladner; and three nieces, Lana Moran, Debi Monroe, and Emilie Ladner.
She is survived by two sisters, Wilda Moran and Adele LaFontaine; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Ladner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was an accomplished seamstress and worked until retirement from the Singer Company. The eldest of seven children, she was truly the matriarch of her family. Valina loved and enjoyed all of her family, cooking, gardening, and sewing.
A Mass of Chrisitian Burial will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 3:00 pm, with a visitation one hour prior at St. William Catholic Church, Pass Christian, MS.
Interment will follow at Rotten Bayou Cemetery.
