V.D. """"Red"""" Dye, age 58, of Saucier passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008, in Gulfport. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Dye is preceded in death by his parents, Van and Emma Dye; his brothers, Benson """"Bill"""" Dye , Everett """"Cat"""" Dye, and Venson """"Coot"""" Dye; and his sister, Faye Reid.
Survivors include his niece, Darlyn """"Lyn"""" Zilke and her husband Walter of St. Martin; his nephews, Bill Dye of Ocean Springs, Todd Dye of Woolmarket, and Steve Dye of Ocean Springs. He is also survived by his grand nieces and grand nephews.
Red was a beloved uncle who was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49N Gulfport, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Dye Cemetery in Saucier.
