TSgt. Willie Grady Guy, USAF Retired, age 91, passed away on September 12, 2019 in Biloxi, MS. He was born in Pleasant Grove, AL and was the son of Thomas Guy and Jessie Horton Guy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Naomi Shepherd, Richard Guy, Gordie Guy, Ray Von Guy, Willard Guy, Bonnie Wallace, Neal Houston and Calvin Guy.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Erika Klara Marianne Warzecha Guy of Biloxi; eight children, Rebecca Edwards (Buzzy), Lois Andrews (BB), Larry Guy, Cheryl Ann Sides, Carol Arteche, Jesse Guy, Gregory Guy (Irene), Angela Culbertson (Miles); 21 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends that were like family.
During his 20-year career with the United States Air Force he served in the Korean War, achieved numerous awards, and became a noncommissioned officer. He retired in 1967 as Technical Sargent and continued serving the country in civil service. He worked for 16 years at Keesler Air Force Base and was the Chief Fire Inspector.
During his free time, he enjoyed tinkering, golfing, gardening, fishing, hunting, and was a "specialty" wild game chef and horse hopper watcher.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice of Light, especially Nurse Donna York, for their special care and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages family and friends to make a memorial contribution to the Wounded Warriors Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or a veteran's organization of their choice.
Visitation for family and friends with be held from 12:30 - 1:30 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. West Jackson County. Procession to Biloxi National Cemetery will follow, and the graveside service with military honors will begin at 2:30 PM.
