Troy Morgan

Troy J.D. Morgan a resident of Ramsey Springs, Miss passed away on March 2, 2011 in Gulfport, Mississippi after an extended illness.
Troy was born in Shreveport, LA on May 2, 1946 and was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Eloise Morgan. He is survived by his wife, Val Morgan, children Christine Ackley of Colorado, Sonya (Bruce) Kortens of Mississippi and Jon (JoAnn) Thalheimer of Georgia, grandchildren Bethany Thalheimer, Jade Ackley, Courtney Thalheimer, Cody Austin, Austin Kortens, Evan Ackley and Meridith Thalheimer his brother Ronnie Morgan and his sisters Wanda Morgan and Linda Todd.
Troy and Val married in Shreveport, LA in 1975. He retired from the Shreveport Police Department after 25 years of service. He recently retired from the Biloxi VA.
Troy loved his family and friends. He enjoyed his work, sitting on his back porch, and loved playing with his grandchildren and sharing the lessons he had learned in life with them. He will be greatly missed by all.
A graveside service is scheduled on Monday March 7, 2011 at 2:30pm at the National Cemetery in Biloxi, Miss. The family request donations to American Cancer Society in honor of Troy.
