Mr. Troy R. Cundiff, age 80, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010.
Mr. Cundiff was born in Jenks, OK to Rhoder E. and Arva Letris Chilcoat Cundiff. He served in the United States Air Force and then went to work for Ingall's. After a short period there, Mr. Cundiff worked at Keesler in Civil Service as an electronics instructor. He retired from Litton Industries as Director of Engineering. There was no task beyond his reach. He will be most remembered for his help he offered others, whether the job was big or small. He was a sports fanatic/statistician and most recently, focused his time and attention on entertaining his youngest grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Wayne and Gerald Cundiff; 1 sister, Levonia Cundiff.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ouida M. """"Tee"""" Cundiff of Gulfport; 4 sons, Clyde Ladner (Janice) of Klamath Falls, OR, Troy P. Cundiff of Tracy, CA, and Duane R. Cundiff (Tammy) of Liberty, TX, James E. Cundiff (Laura) of Thibodeaux, LA; daughter, Myra D. Cundiff of Klamath Falls, OR; siblings, Ray Cundiff, Ralph Cundiff, Janie Bolze, C. Sue Lawrence, David Cundiff, Judy Leonard, Theda Arganbright; 13 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may call from 9-10 a.m. Graveside services with military honors will follow at 11 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
