Trilla "Mickey" Paulk

Trilla G. "Mickey" McVey Paulk, age 85, of Helena, passed away on July 23, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Paulk; 2 children, James Herbert Paulk and Dorie Paulk; her parents, Bessie and Mack McVey; her siblings, Adelia McVey Heinis, Willa McVey Ragsdale, James Patrick McVey, Mike McVey, Robert McVey, and Rita Allen.

She is survived by her children, Diane Vice (Jimmy), Denny Paulk (Teresa), Bessie Hendry, and Diane Carnley (Jerry); 2 brothers, Charles McVey (Linda) and Tommy McVey (Denise); 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; a special friend and caretaker, Sara Street; and other caretakers and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Paulk enjoyed sewing, reading, and genealogy where she was president of the McVey/Paulk Archives. She was dedicated to her family especially working with her husband shrimping, sewing nets, building boats and crab pots, and whatever it took to take care of her family.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 26, 2021, from 4 - 5 pm at the Helena Presbyterian Church, 10401 Saracennia Road, Moss Point. The funeral service will be at 5 pm in the church. Interment will be in the Paulk Family Cemetery.
