Mr. Travis W. Peterson, age 59, resident of Kiln, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mr. Peterson was a lifelong resident of Hancock County, was formerly employed at Pass Chrstian Industries, and was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading his Bible and cattle farming.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Athen and Mildred Cuevas Peterson, and a brother, Lavon """"Buck"""" Peterson.
Mr. Peterson is survived by his sister, Bonnie Moran (Donald) of Lizana; three brothers, Merlin Peterson, Bennie Peterson, and Danny Peterson, all of Kiln; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Victory Baptist Church, Highway 603, Kiln, where friends may visit after 6:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008, at 10 A.M. in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow services at Standard Sandhill Cemetery. Reverend Ricky Moore will officiate.
