Travis Page

September 3, 1931 — May 4, 2021

Gulfport

Travis Lee Page Sr.,89 of Gulfport passed away on May 4, 2021 peacefully surrounded by his family
at Canon Hospice in Gulfport. Travis was born on September 3, 1931 in Gulfport Mississippi.

He joined the Army and while stationed in Michigan he met the love of his life, Betty, whom he married and started a family with, having 8 children.

He was a Korean War Veteran, and after the Army he raised his family in
Gulfport. Travis held many jobs to support his family, like truck driver, iron cutter, in the oil field, and countless others throughout his life. Travis always worked hard and therefore was nicknamed "Rock" by his son in law, Ronnie Dye when he worked with him in construction.

Travis enjoyed many things in life like dancing at the VFW on Friday nights, playing the slots at the casinos, watching wrestling on tv (he was the rock before the wrestler "The Rock"), planting
a garden, cooking (especially beef stew, sweet potatoes, and greens, and just sitting on the porch talking to family and friends for hours. He would share his stories and experiences with all, especially the grandkids.

Travis was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Page; his son, Mitchell Page; granddaughter, Amanda Smithson Green; parents, Harmon Lee and Edna Mae Cates Page; brothers, Harmon (HL) Page Jr.; Oliver Page; sister, Sara Isabelle Page Lavigne; and his friend and son in law, Ronnie Dye.

Travis is survived by his sons, Travis Page Jr., Alex (Linda ) Page; daughters, Barbara Dye, Donna (Jim) Page, Christine (Johnny) Holliman, Teresa Page, Diane (Keith) Dye; brothers, Huey Page, Joe ( Earline) Page; sister, Lela (Hugh) Moore; and 38 grand and great grandchildren.

Travis was a loving and caring person to all and would do anything he could to help someone out. With sadness in our hearts, joy in our faith, and love for him, the family wishes all to come celebrate his life Friday May 7, 2021 at 10:00 am at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport with burial to follow at Free Church of God.

May the winds of heaven blow softly and whisper in your ears, you may be gone from our sight but you will never be gone from our hearts.
