Travis E. Leggett

Travis E. Leggett, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend passed away on May 6th, 2023, at his residence in Saucier, MS at the age of 61. Travis was born on February 4th, 1962, in Gulfport, MS to Larry and Jean Leggett. He grew up in Long Beach, MS where he graduated from Long Beach High School.

Travis was a skilled construction superintendent for over 30 years and was respected by colleagues and friends alike for his dedication to his craft and professionalism. He took great pride in his work and approached each project with integrity and passion for excellence.

In addition to his professional achievements, Travis had a passion for outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. He also loved Nascar races and was an avid fan of Alabama Football - Roll Tide!

Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Jean Leggett; and his sister, Lorie Courtney. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Carol Leggett; two sons: Travis Leggett Jr. (Chantella) and Jesse Leggett; bonus daughter Cayden Cook; granddaughters Charlie Paige Leggett and Dakota Lyn Leggett; grandson Thomas Michael Leggett; sisters: Ginger Walker, Julie Duncan (Tommy), Kyrstal Wallace and Amy Caldwell; as well as many other loving nieces, nephews, and countless friends & co-workers.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Friday, May 12th at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 4:00pm.

The family would like to express their special thanks to the staffs of Memorial Cancer Center and MD Anderson, for their care and compassion.

Travis will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He embodied everything that a good man should be - hardworking, honest, loyal, respectful and fun-loving. His legacy will live on through the memories shared by those he leaves behind. Rest in peace Travis E. Leggett!
