Tonya Ann Barrett, age 43, resident of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010, in AZ.
Ms. Barrett was born in Biloxi, MS on May 31, 1967. She graduated from the University of Southern MS and received her D.S.W. from Jackson State University. She was a Social Worker at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport before moving to Arizona, and enjoyed life by the water and water sports.
She is survived by her partner, Dr. Beth Curry of Phoenix, AZ; mother and stepfather, Delores A. Mason and Charles Zielinski of Sun City West, AZ; father, Thomas A. Barrett, Jr. of Corpus Christi, TX; siblings, Mark Thomas Mason of Plano, TX, Stephen John Mason of Davison, MI, Ian Barrett of Minneapolis, MN, and Jenny Prowse of Gibralter; grandmother, Doris White of Boston MA; aunts, Pauline Teresa Cuevas of Memphis, TN, Mary Beth Brogdon of Pass Christian, Lydia Jeanette Cuevas of Gulfport; and many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may visit from 5-8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, Bay St. Louis, at 10 a.m. Friends may visit one hour prior to Mass at the church.
Entombment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, 228 South Beach Boulevard, Bay St Louis, MS 39520.
