Toni Lord

September 14, 1957 — August 29, 2018

Toni Janine Lord of Ocean Springs, MS passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS on August 29, 2018 at the age of 60.  Toni was born on September 14, 1957 in Union City, PA.  Her family moved to the Mississippi Coast in 1967.  She was a graduate of Biloxi High School, received her bachelor's degree in marketing from Mississippi College in 1978 and her masters of Theology from Springhill College in Mobile, AL in 2002.
Toni enjoyed a career as a representative for the NFIB for 20 years where she was often called upon to give motivational presentations throughout the country.  Toni retired to take care of her ailing mother.  After her mother passed, Toni enjoyed a second career as a church administrator.  Toni was a devoted servant to her Lord and served in many ways throughout the church including the choir, multiple committees and 2 terms as the parish council president.
Toni is preceded in death by her mother, Majorie Watson Lord Wilcox; her father, Delancey Lord; her infant brother, Jeffrey Lord; and her beloved brother, David L. Lord.
Toni is survived by her brother, Stephen Lord; her adopted sister, Gigi Reeks and her family, Raymond, Liz, Javier and Lucky Egers, and Olivia, Harry and Ella Boru; her dear Aunt, Doranette (Dody) Watson Williams of Omaha, Nebraska; Doranette's children, Dale, Dan and Debra; her sister-in-law by marriage, Madeleine Lord and her children, Amanda, Summer and Joshua; a cousin Ruth Anne Smith; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Toni also leaves behind her very special best friend, Mark Jarouse of Dallas, TX; and her chosen family members, Susan and Danny Dubaz, Patricia Thurber and Suzi Harvey.
Toni was loved and appreciated for her many wonderful qualities. She was intelligent, witty, energetic, kind, generous in spirit and selfless to a fault, always having a smile and kind word for everyone.  Even beyond death, she blessed many others with the gift of life through organ donation.
Goodbye Toni, so beloved by your family and friends. You were unfailingly kind and good to us all.  We love and miss you, but God loves you more.  You fought the good fight and ran the race, never slowing and never complaining.  "Well done thou good and faithful servant."  We will see you soon our dear Toni.
Services will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs, MS.  Visitation will be from 9:30am until 11:00am. The Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00am with The Very Reverend Doctor Charles Hawkins presiding over the service.  Graveside service will immediately follow at Southern Memorial Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.
RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. at the corner of Washington Ave.in West Jackson County, is serving the family.
