Timothy Emmitt Thames

Timothy Emmitt Thames, age 26, of Gulfport, passed away on June 21, 2023.

Emmitt was born in Gulfport and was an Executive Officer and personal assistant to the president of Cenac Marine Services, LLC.  He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating.  Physical fitness was important to Emmitt, and he was one of those guys who never met a stranger.  Emmitt will be remembered as loyal, tender, loving, outgoing, and friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dr. Daniel Oza Conwill and Adrienne d’Aquin Conwill; and uncle, Dr. Arthur “Chip” Sproles.

He is survived by his mother, Jill Brooks (Raymond); his father, David Thames (Judi); siblings, Gabrielle “Brie” Thames, Mariah Stewart (Nick), and Ava Holley; paternal grandparents, Emmitt and Linda Thames; niece, Maryn Stewart; nephew, Beckham Thames; a large extended family; and his canine companions, Fitz and Faith.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport, from 10:30am-12 Noon.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon with burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
