Timothy Ray Sison, age 51 of Enterprise, MS, formerly of Gulfport, MS, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 1, 2021.
At the time of Timmy's untimely death, he was the current Director of the Lauderdale County Department of History and Archives located in Meridian, MS.
Timmy was born in Gulfport, MS, on January 22, 1970; sharing that birth date with his identical twin brother, Gregg.
Timmy attended Gulfport High School, graduating with the Class of 1988.
He then went on to study basic core classes at MGCCC/Jefferson Davis Campus from 1988-1989. To complete his studies, he earned his BS in Marketing with Advertising Emphasis at University of Southern Mississippi, Class of 1993.
Timmy was also a proud member of Kappa Sigma Epsilon Nu from 1990 to 1993 and continued the Fraternal Brotherhood as an Alumni.
While Timmy had many achievements and successes in his life, his proudest moment was the day Jenny gave birth to their beautiful daughter, Kirstyn. That pride and joy continued to grow as he watched from afar the amazing and loving person her mother, Jenny raised Kirstyn to be.
He was preceded him in death by his maternal grandparents, Emmett W. Smith and Helen D. Smith; and his paternal grandparents, F.R. Sison, Sr. and Virginia W. Sison.
Timmy is survived by his daughter, Kirstyn Ray; his mother, Sandy Smith Brownlee; his father, F.R. Sison, Jr.; his siblings, Keri Sison Steube (Freddie, Jr.), Gregg Sison, Danny Sison (Melinda), and Brent Sison (Jessica); his life partner, Susan Shackleford also lovingly called "Mi Che'" and her daughter, Sarah; his nieces and nephews, Samantha Steube, Zachary Steube (Laura), Jonathan Steube, Jasmine Sison, Ryan Stumph (Lauren), Breanna Sison (Demarius), Nicole Foster, Lauren Foster, Summer Murphy, Colton Murphy, Kara Sison, Andrew Sison, and Bailey Sison; his great-nieces and nephews, Brookleigh Bosarge, Stetson Stumpf, Chesney Stumpf, Gentry Stumpf, Demarius Holland, and Breyson Holland.
He also left behind numerous other relatives and lifelong friends, as well as new friends, that loved him dearly. Timmy loved them deeply in return.
"Our family chain is BROKEN and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again."
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to be made in honor of Timmy to the Lauderdale County Department of History and Archives in Meridian, MS.
