Timothy James Hutchinson June 12, 1953 - December 13, 2018
Timothy James Hutchinson died unexpectedly and peacefully on December 13, 2018 at his home in Gulfport, MS at age 65. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 35 years, Brenda Herring Hutchinson; his daughter Kerri Hutchinson Shafer and her husband W.L. Shafer of Wichita, Kansas; his son Jamie Parker and wife Darinda Parker of Perkinston, MS; grandchildren Dalton Parker and his wife Kayla, Logan Parker, Alex Shafer, Logan Shafer; great-granddaughter Presley Shafer; brother and sister in law Lyle and Kathleen Hutchinson of Pineville, LA; brother and sister in law Bob and Bobbie Hutchinson of Tucson, AZ. His "outlaws" Gene and Diane Mitchell of Gulfport, MS; Patty Armond of Sacramento, CA; and Duney and Nancy Irwin of McHenry, MS; and his beloved shih tzu's Louie and Chewy.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Jesse M. Hutchinson, Jr. and Hildur Anderson Hutchinson of Pineville, LA ; his brother Jesse M. Hutchinson, III of Ventress, LA.
Tim was born in Alexandria, LA, raised in Pineville, LA and graduated Tioga High School in Tioga, LA. He served with distinction in the United States Air Force during and following the Vietnam conflict. He had a long and distinguished career in restaurant management with the Marriott Corporation, as well as a successful restaurant owner and operator. At the time of his death along with this wife Brenda, established and were co-owners of The Cleaning Company in Gulfport, MS.
Tim and Brenda enjoyed hunting and fishing at their camp on Kitterlin Creek in Jena, LA. They enjoyed RV travels through-out the country which included fishing and lobstering in the Florida Keys. He enjoyed cooking, while sharing his time and delicious food with family and friends. Sadly, he will be missed by both, but blessed for having touched their lives.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Michael Memorial Baptist Church, 15053 John Clark Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. The family requests donations to The Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers.
