Thomas "TC" Whitfield

Thomas C. "TC" Whitfield, age 81, of Long Beach, passed away on November 16, 2022.

TC was a native of Columbia. He was employed as a photographer for the Daily Herald and  in the NASA Photo Lab.  TC loved bowling, NASCAR racing, The Atlanta Falcons and riding his Harley Davidson.  He was a member of the first Baptist Church of Long Beach and a member of the Jaycees of Long Beach.

TC was preceded in death by his parents, John A. Whitfield and Letha R. Whitfield; his brother, John P. Whitfield; and his grandson, Zack Whitfield.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia McIntosh Whitfield; his children, Randy (Robin) Whitfield, Natalie (Perry) Schmidt, and Sherilyn (Barry) Oakes; his siblings Larry (Donna) Whitfield and Jimmy Whitfield;  his grandchildren, Perry Schmidt, Jr., John Schmidt, Brandi Smith, Bridgette Moreaux, and Bethany Scott; and his great grandchildren, Trey Schmidt, Cruze Schmidt, Jude Smith, Luke Smith, Landen Moreaux, Beau Moreaux, Easton Moreaux, Asher Scott, Presley Whitfield, and Kylie Whitfield.

We would Like to thank Robin and Sissy with Southern Living Assistance Services and Kare in Home Hospice for taking care of our loved one.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 9 - 11 am at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach.  The funeral service will be at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
