Thomas J. """"""""TJ""""""""Tom"""" Waltman, 93, of Gulfport died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in Biloxi.
Mr. Waltman was a native and lifelong resident of the coast and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired as a Preservation Mechanic working at the Navy CB Base for 23 years. He was of the baptist faith and he wnjoyed fishing, horseshoes, dominos, working on lawnmowers, playing his guitar, and eating.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Etta C. Waltman, a son, Shirley Waltman, his parents, Sylvester and Olivia Waltman, 3 brothers, Vick, Edward, and Earl, and 3 sisters, Mary Jane, Grace, and Lil.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Susan (Dan) Kenney, and Edie (Ken, Jr.) Combs, 5 sons, Patrick (Melonie) Waltman, Dale (Terri) Waltman, Jeff Waltman, John (Lynn) Waltman, and David (Karen) Waltman, 2 sisters, Ester Cooley, and Naomi Rhoades, 2 brothers, Ted Waltman, George Waltman, and Don Waltman, 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 1 - 2 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY'S Gulf Coast Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
