AT1 Thomas Harry Timm Jr. (US Navy Retired), 64, of Biloxi, MS, passed away peacefully, at his home, on Friday, March 8, 2024.
He was born in Milwaukee, WI, on July 25, 1959, to Judith Timm and Thomas Timm Sr.. He enlisted in the Navy in 1988 and served during the Gulf War era until 1993. He retired as Aviation Technician 1st class, having specialized in Field Calibration, Activity Technician, Aircraft Tecan/ Radio Navigation Equipment IMA Technician, Aircraft Radar Altimeter Equipment IMA Technician, and Instructor. Among his decorations were the Southwest Asia Service medal with Bronze Star, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal and Joint Meritorious Unit Award. After retirement, he continued his career as a calibration expert at Keesler Air Force Base. His favorite pastimes were playing guitar and reading.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leonisa "Ness" F. Timm; his daughter, Kristina Timm (Jon Hayes) of Jacksonville, FL; his parents, Judith Timm and Thomas Timm Sr. of Milwaukee, WI; his sister, Jill Ostrowski (Jared) of Milwaukee, WI; his sister-in-law, Rona Spaar (Billy Spaar) of Anchorage, Alaska; one nephew; and numerous cousins and friends.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Biloxi National Cemetery. Riemann Family Funeral Home, Biloxi served the family.
