Thomas Neill Brackin, age 55, and a resident of Pass Christian, MS, died Monday, October 16, 2006, in Gulfport, MS.
Mr. Brackin was a native of Gary, IN, and was a graduate of B. C. Rain High School in Mobile, AL. He was a devoted and active member of the St. Patrick's Episcopal Church family in Long Beach.
He triumphed over a lifetime of health and disability issues with great courage and much love and compassion for his fellow human beings.
Mr. Brackin was preceded in death by his father, Carey W. Brackin; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Neill Bogan, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tucker Brackin.
Survivors include his mother, Catherine Bogan Brackin, of Pass Christian; siblings, William Page Brackin, of Everett, WA; Duncan Ford Brackin, of Kenmore, WA; and Julia Catherine Brackin, of Everett, WA; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church's outdoor chapel on the beach in Long Beach on Sunday, October 22, 2006, at 2:00 p.m.,
and friends may visit following the service. Entry to the chapel is through the park entrance on Magnolia Street. You may wish to bring seating to the service. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be conducted at Grace Lutheran Church, Pineville Road, Long Beach.
