Thelma Mae Quattlebaum, age 61, of Long Beach, went to Heaven on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.
Mrs. Quattlebaum, a native of Durham, North Carolina, and a long time resident of Long Beach, Mississippi, had worked in the Long Beach school system for many years. She was a christian and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Gulfport. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother.
Mrs. Quattlebaum was preceded in death by her parents, mother, Lula Mae Matthews Barefoot and father, Lexi D. Matthews; and a son, Timothy J. Quattlebaum.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tommy P. Quattlebaum of Long Beach; her children, Bernie J. Quattlebaum; and Tammy M. Quattlebaum.
The family prefers donations be made to Long Beach School Systems Library.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. Friday, January 4, 2008, at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach. The funeral service will be at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville, Florida.
